Omnitech is acquiring jetro platforms

Omnitech, one of the leading companies in the Israeli computing and technology market, announced that it had acquired Jetro Platforms from the RDT group.

Jetro is a technological leader in the field of virtualization, server-based computing (SBC), and securing organizational Web surfing (JSB).

The Jetro Cockpit virtualization software has been installed by over 140 organizational clients around the world, and dozens of large organizations in Israel, including Clal Insurance, the Phoenix, Harel, Maccabi, the Israel Electric Corporation, Isrotel, Verint and others.

Jetro’s main global clients are in south-east Asia and eastern Europe, and they include a large bank in South Korea and the Polish telecommunication company.

Jetro’s technology enables the computing organization to provide the end user with a working environment that runs on central servers, rather than the user’s personal computer. This increases the flexibility of the organizational computing infrastructure, reduces the cost of computing infrastructures, and improves the level of security of the organization’s information systems.
Another Jetro solution is the Jetro Secure Browser, which gives organizations secure and remote virtual surfing, in response to regulatory requirements. It does so without exposing the organizational network to malicious external content, and competes with conventional content filtering solutions.

Udi Weintraub, CEO of Omnitech, says: “The acquisition of Jetro is another step in strengthening Omnitech’s status in the field of software in Israel, and expanding the array it can offer. Jetro has excellent products, serving thousands of users in organizations in Israel and around the world. The Jetro Cockpit has amazing synergy with our activities in moving clients over to virtualization and VDI, and we will incorporate the Jetro products in the range that we offer our existing clients, as well as new customers.”
