IDC Names Jetro a Company to Watch Citing its Secure Web Browsing Solutions
Tel Aviv, Israel, June, 2010 – Jetro, a leading provider of server-based application virtualization software solutions is named A Company to Watch by IDC Research. Analyst Dan Yachin cites Jetro’s SaaS offering and its advanced Secure Web Browser solutions as the main reasons for putting a spotlight on the company.
“While many companies provide similar capabilities to those provided by Jetro, the company’s strength is in combining these functionalists in a single, integrated offering,” says Dan Yachin. “The move into the SaaS management/enablement space can further differentiate Jetro from its traditional competition in the VUS market. In addition, Jetro’s COCKPIT4i offers an alternative approach to Web security that is based on converting Web content to secure vide-like format instead of filtering for malicious or inappropriate content.”
The IDC report mentions three Jetro solutions:
Jetro COCKPIT - a software solution for managing server-based computing (SBC) environments.
Jetro COCKPIT4i – a 100% secure web browser which utilizes video virtualization to allow uses to safely view their requested Web content
Giora Shaked, CEO of Jetro, said: “this is an important endorsement by one of the leading independent research firms in the world. Jetro has a set of vertical-specific and dedicated product versions for secure Web browsing and SaaS deployments, along with strong channels and partnerships required for pushing our virtualization into the market.
